I want to share this true story with you guys -
Jerry was the kind of guy u always want to hate because he was always in jolly mood and always had something positive to say.When someone would ask him he would reply " If i were any better, I would be twins ! "
Jerry was a natural motivator...If a worker had a bad day, he was there telling him about the postive side of situation.Seeing this made me much curious about his style and once i asked him ," Man , how can u always be positive person all the time?? How do you do it? "
Jerry replied "Each morning i wake up i have two choices ,whether to be in happy mood or in a bad mood.Each time something bad happens,I can choose to be a victim or can learn from it.If someone comes complainig towards me ,I can accept his complaining or can show him the positive side of situation.So , i choose positive side of life."Yeah,right,its not that wasy ", I protested.
soon thereafter i left that restaurant and joined a company and lost contact with that guy.
Several years later i heard that Jerry did something that is never allowed in restaurant business.He left back door open and was held at gun point by three robbers.While opening safe, his hands shaking by nervousness slipped off combination.The robbers shot him. soon , jerry was rushed to the nearest trauma centre.After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, jerry was released from hospital with fragments of bullet stillin his body.After six months i met him, i asked him how he was.He replied " If i was any better, I'd be twins ".Wanna see my scars? " i inclined too see them and inquired what had gone through his mind when he was at robbers gun point ? " They lay me on the floor, i had two choices to live or to die.I chose to live. " Were"nt u scare? did u lose conciousness? I asked.Jerry continued, "The paramedic kept telling me that i will be fine, but when the rushed me to emergency room the expressions on face of doctors scared me off.In theis eyes i read " he is a dead-man"A big burly nurse shouting quesrions at me, asked,"if iwas allergic to anything ? " i replied " Yes. The doctors stopped working and eagerly waited for my reply.... I yelled BULLETS. Over their laughter i said," i choose to live, operate me as if i am live man and not dead person."
Jerry lived thanks to skilled doctors but also because of his amazing attitude.
Friends, in our day to day life time comes when we get irritated and broken hearted. But the next time you suffer any of this situation, immediately stop reacting and make a choice. ATTitude matter !!!
